Rule Review: Throughout the year, hold occasional "Rule Review". When you feel they are slipping, remind them of the 'contract' they all created and agreed to (signed). Remind them of the code of the conduct when a new student joins the class or whenever students are doing something wrong or after a long holiday break. It keeps things fresh and lets everyone have a say in keeping our classroom awesome.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Success Criteria:

  • Students will be able to identify and explain the rules and expectations for behavior in the classroom.
  • Students will demonstrate respect and responsibility towards themselves, peers, and the teacher.
  • Students will create a poster or illustration that represents one of the rules or expectations.
  • Students will participate in class discussions and activities with respect and responsibility.

Remember, creating a classroom code of conduct should be a collaborative and enjoyable experience. By injecting humor and creativity into the process, you not only set clear expectations but also build a positive classroom culture where everyone feels invested in their shared rules of engagement. Happy rule-making!
